"Bridging" is a work built by connecting, disconnecting and reconnecting. Inspired by body language which carries turmoil, disrubtance, isolation and abandonment. As well as human stories of intimate relationships that are going through transition or are in need of ammendment. The work does not follow a narrative nor do the dancers portay characters. However through the abstract and the reckless yet isolated movement, "Bridging" shares images and tableaus that earns to focus on a spectrum of emotions to create a melancholic atmosphere.

Under the tide
Telling the story about a couple dealing with the unexpected loss of their son. The incident, of losing their child in the ocean, has silenced the couple and pushed them apart. As the father is filled with guilt and regret, he feels helpless to communicate with his wife who holds him responsible. Exploring the body of water and it’s power, “Under the tide” is the expression of two people finding themselves lost, trying to collectively deal with their grief and overwhelming anguish. Forced to embark this journey, where affinity and unity would be essential. They struggle feeling lonely and isolated, as never before.

“Silenced wall” is a dance work inspired by the English expression “if these walls could talk”. Referring to something said or done behind closed doors, usually something unsavoury or something that one would like to keep hidden.
After a series of unknown events, the work sways in and out of the abstract. Following a group of six individuals reminiscing down memory lane. Remembering the relationships that were made, broken and lost, but never talked about. Creating images that evokes a melancholic atmosphere filled with tension. Eliciting the sensation of regret, blame, anxiety and joy while remembering the past.

We follow Katherine as she isolates and distances herself following an unexpected tragic incident. The piece unfolds her journey as she struggles to deal with her grief and her quest to find peace and harmony. Challenged with the task of facing both reality and herself she endeavours to confront her emotions, surroundings and the events of the incident. "Coping" address’ the different stages and shades of grief. The dance piece sways in and out of the abstract, into the narrative. The dancers represent different shades and the mind of the protagonist, as well characters in her life. The physical exertion, the recklessness and dynamic changes symbolise the unpredictable journey of sudden loss.
Royal Danish Ballet - Kammerballetten
Persuasion is a piece inspired by the idea of two individuals being dependant on one another. Two men find them selves in a situation were they must keep quiet about something that has happened. One of the men is having a harder time dealing with his conscious then his friend. The friend, whom has accepted the situation, tries eagerly to calm him down. Dependent on that they both keep silent, he struggles to convince and persuade him that everything will sort itself out. As the piece develops tension builds up, and moral questions their relationship. The men go on an emotional rollercoaster which is expressed through a hectic and complex duet.

Unravel is inspired by a conversation between two individuals, dealing with their relationship late at night, behind closed doors. As the conversation goes on, further unexpected topics and emotions unfold and reveal themselves. The difficulty to find calmness and harmony with each other, yet not being able to let go.
