Kristian Lever is a Finnish - British award winning choreographer and dancer. Raised in Helsinki, Finland, this is where he started his journey. Later moving to Moscow and Dresden to continue his training, giving him a wide range of knowledge and experience from different styles of dance and movement.
Having danced repertoire from Jiri Kylian, Nacho Duato, Ohad Naharin, Marco Goecke, Natalia Horecna, John Neumeier and many others. It was in Hamburg under the direction of John Neumeier and Kevin Haigen, where he was offered his first professional engagement as a choreographer. Having now created several works for the National Youth Ballet of Germany, the Royal Danish Ballet, dancers of Nederlands Dans Theater, Hessisches Staatsballett, Royal ballet, ukrainian national ballet and many others.
Kristian Premieres his latest creation “Silenced Wall” November 9th for the croatian national ballet in rijeka. Novemeber 29th the extended version of “under the tide” premieres at the National opera house in kiev with international star dancers matthew golding and natalia matsak. suppoerted by a cast of 32 other dancers. new commissisoned work for ballett vorpommern and ballet theatre tivoli in copenhagen premiere april 26th and may 18th.
Albert Einstein once said, "I have no special talent, I am only passionately curious". Kristian follows this quote as an approach within all of his work. Having the desire to constantly look beyond the now and always wanting to explore. This way he believes one can push boundaries to create new and innovative work.
